ABOUT US

Welcome to Mobile Radiology Australia

Mobile Radiology Australia (MRA) is a national provider of mobile imaging services, delivering high-quality radiology and sonography to elderly, frail residents and any patients with limited mobility or access to imaging services. We serve individuals in Residential Aged Care Facilities, retirement villages, and private homes.

Our mission is to fast-track access to essential imaging services, reduce unnecessary hospital transfers, and improve patient outcomes by delivering timely, high-quality care in familiar surroundings.

Our vision is to expand access to high-quality bedside imaging for clients with reduced mobility and limited access to transport to imaging services nationwide — enhancing the health, dignity, and wellbeing of our community.

Our Journey

Founded in 2013, MRA has grown from a single-service provider to a trusted name across major Australian cities and regions. We currently operate in Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, and Perth. Our dedicated team includes 25 experienced radiographers and sonographers, supported by a skilled back-office team that ensures seamless service delivery.

In October 2021, we expanded into Western Sydney, and we continue to engage in discussions to bring our services to more communities across the country.

Our Mission

We are committed to:

  • Providing timely, high-quality mobile imaging for elderly patients and others who would otherwise face challenging, costly, or impractical hospital transfers.
  • Embracing innovation in mobile imaging technologies to enhance patient care.
  • Supporting the growth of home-based healthcare, helping patients receive critical diagnostics in the comfort and familiarity of their own environment.
  • Building a sustainable, scalable business model in a space previously dominated by individual providers.

When we launched in each of our core regions, there were no comparable services available. We remain pioneers in expanding mobile radiology in Australia.

Driving Sector Growth

Our work goes beyond our business operations. We are passionate advocates for mobile imaging and actively contribute to the growth of the sector:

  • Research & Advocacy: We've published research on the impact of mobile radiology on aged care quality, and presented findings to the Aged Care Royal Commission (2019) and the RACGP Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • Policy Influence: We proudly played a key role in introducing the first CMBS Medicare rebate for mobile imaging in 2019.
  • Collaboration: We've partnered with State Governments in Victoria and Queensland, and our Sydney expansion is supported by a major Primary Health Network.

Looking Ahead

We are always exploring new opportunities to expand and innovate. Our goal is to bring the latest imaging technology to patients where they live, ensuring better outcomes and greater dignity for some of our most vulnerable citizens.

Thank you for supporting Mobile Radiology Australia and helping us improve access to essential diagnostic care.
