ABOUT US

Welcome to Mobile Radiology Australia

We are a national company that delivers mobile radiology services to elderly frail residents of Residential Aged Care Facilities, retirement villages and homes.

We started our operation in 2013, and since then have established services in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. We have 10 radiographers and sonographers working around the country, and a busy back office staff that supports them.

In October 2021 we commence our work in Western Sydney, and we continue to engage in discussions in other areas around Australia.

Our aims are:

  1. To deliver a good quality mobile service to frail elderly people who would otherwise require difficult, inconvenient or expensive transfers to get imaging (or not receive it at all)
  2. To take advantage of improving innovation in mobile imaging technology
  3. To be an integral part of the expansion of home based health care services
  4.  And finally to create a sustainable business model where there have only ever been individual providers. In Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide there were no similar businesses when we started.

Aside from our own business, we want the whole area of mobile imaging to expand. We have published research into the impact of mobile radiology on the quality of care in Residential Aged Care, and presented at the Aged Care Royal Commission in 2019, and at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Proudly, we were directly responsible for the introduction of the first CMBS Medicare rebate for mobile imaging in 2019, and we continue to work to receive better recognition and reimbursement for our sector.

MRA has worked closely with State governments in Victoria and Queensland to deliver our services. Our Sydney service will commence with the close co-operation of a major Primary Healthcare Network.

And we keep looking for future collaborations that will allow us to bring the best and latest imaging technologies to our patients in the comfort of their usual surroundings.

Thanks for supporting us, and our work.
